While it is usually common to experience slight sensitivity after teeth whitening, our whitening gel results in none! We have seen sensitivity in less than 2% of our clients! Recent dental work a few days before a teeth whitening treatment may result in higher sensitivity.
This varies from individual to individual and depends on a multitude of factors, such as age, types of staining, and the severity of the staining. After one treatment, teeth can brighten up to 12 shades. It is important to set expectations when whitening, as everyone's teeth respond differently towards the gel.
Whitening is not permanent. Usually, the results last from six months to three years, but effects will diminish over time. You can make them last longer by avoiding the foods and habits that cause staining. Ask us about maintenance plans!
Veneers, crowns, and false teeth will stain over the years. The teeth whitening gel will remove any staining, bringing them back to their original color.
Typically, our teeth whitening treatment takes 50 minutes. You will be in our office for roughly an hour and 10 minutes.
For 24 hours (preferably 48 if you can), you should abstain from enjoying any of the usual tooth-staining suspects (coffee, red wine, tea, colas, tobacco, and dark juices). A full set of after-care instructions will be provided after the treatment concludes.
